Surfboard fees are subject to airline discretion and may change at any time. Airlines may charge per surfboard or per board bag. These fees are in addition to your your checked baggage fee. Some airlines charge for your surfboards and count it as your first bag, then any other checked luggage is charged the amount for the second bag fee. They may also charge you extra for longboards, or boardbags over 9ft or 70lbs, as well as for hard cases. Worldwide Adventure Travel does not collect airline board fees or baggage fees. Those are charged at the airport. Some airlines, most notably, CONTINENTAL, DELTA, AND UNITED have EXCESS BAGGAGE EMBARGOES meaning they DO NOT ALLOW SURFBOARDS or any excess baggage during select times of the year to select cities, check with your agent or the carrier directly if you are unsure.
